It probably goes without saying, but please remember that classes and workshops are only open to registered campers.
Pre-registration
Some workshops have limited space, and require pre-registration on a "first come, first served" basis. If you are interested in participating in any of these workshops, be sure to first register for SOMA Camp, then click the appropriate link to register for the workshop.

| Textile Design with Mushroom Dyes Pre-registration required class info In this workshop, we will create surface patterns
on mushroom dyed silk scarves. We will experiment with achieving
darker tones with mordant solutions, lighter tones with acidic
solutions, and adding color with pigments. We may use brushes,
stencils, and stamps to make our designs. We'll all have
fun experimenting together, and students will be able to
take home their own designs on silk scarves. |

Own" Pre-registration required class info For experienced, self-motivated and self-directed
mushroom dyers who bring their own pre-mordanted fibers to
dye and want to experiment independently or in small groups
with all of the left over mushroom dyes, plus whatever fungal
surprises that may have arrived from the Sunday Forays..
We may also have a pot of lichen dye going, or you can even
try dyeing your hair with some left-over, lingering mushroom
