Faculty Biographies
Laura Bogar
Dr. Laura Bogar is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying symbiotic interactions between tree roots and ectomycorrhizal fungi in the lab of Dr. Holly Moeller. Laura is interested in how small-scale interactions between plant and fungal cells can scale up to affect how entire landscapes look and function. (In summer 2022, she will start a lab focused on these topics at UC Davis!) When she is not thinking about fungal ecology, she likes to run, cook, and experiment with dyeing with mushroom pigments.
