Faculty Biographies
Peter Werner
Peter is a long-time Bay Area mycologist and has studied mycology at University of Washington and SFSU. Most recently, he completed an MSc degree in microscopy and imaging at the National University of Ireland, Galway, with a thesis project that involved optimizing fungal culture methods for high-resolution live-cell microscopy. Peter has taught microscopy at Merritt College, is former president of the San Francisco Microscopical Society, and is currently active in science education and outreach through Merritt College, SFMS, and East Bay Genomics.
