Faculty Biographies
Brittany Long
Brittany K. Long is a Doctoral Candidate in the department of Plant Biology at UC Davis. She is an evolutionary biologist interested in how different fungal lifestyles evolved: especially those that involve mutualistic symbioses with photosynthesizing partners. Brittany uses molecular techniques to answer broader questions about the ecology, evolution, and biodiversity of these organisms. Outside of the lab, Brittany is an avid hobbyist who enjoys jewelry making, rockhounding, traveling, hiking, camping, and so much more.
